David Hobday appointed CEO of the RAC Group

Chris Woodhouse to step down after 5 years as CEO

 20 December 2016, London – The RAC Group today announced that it will appoint David Hobday as its next Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Mr Hobday will join the Company over the course of the next six months.

David Hobday joins the RAC from Worldpay UK, where he was Managing Director. Mr Hobday will take over as CEO from Chris Woodhouse who joined the RAC in 2012. Under his leadership, the RAC has transformed into a leading national automotive services company. Chris Woodhouse will remain as CEO until Mr Hobday has joined the Company to ensure a smooth transition.

Rob Templeman, Chairman of RAC Group, said: “I am very excited to welcome David to the RAC. His wealth of experience will be valuable to us as we enter our next phase of growth. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Woodhouse for all his hard work and dedication over the last five years, and wish him all the best for the future.”
